Yes, I would (I did) take it with a medium excess. Only takes one small claim and it will pay for itself, with main dealer labour rates being what they are.

Steering rack or Gearbox issues don't bear thinking about, big dollar.

Always taken the extended warranty.

I differ in that I've always gone 0 excess, so then even if it's a niggly problem. I just took it to the stealer

How much did everyone pay ? I still have 30 months on mine but good to get a rough idea of how much it might be.

It depends on car model, level of cover, policy excess, and mileage.

Mine's around £400 pa

Did you haggle or something Marco? I've just paid £495 ish including BMW Assistance (£100 excess and the Assistance was £95 ish) on 35k mile 2014 118i (170). So essentially a 135i is the same cost as a 118i...

Does anyone bother with extended warranty if they are running lowering springs?

Would the warranty still cover anything not suspension related?

I didn't take the Assistance, £95 for recovery was more than I could stomach.

Warranty would still cover the Drivetrain (engine, turbo, gearbox, diff, etc), 'drivetrain only' policy is one of the cheaper options.

in the exact same position as you, which choice are you going with? if any!

shame they charge extra for doing it monthly, as the £69 pm for 12 months, equals to £828!!
