Yes, it’s pretty good.

You can send destinations to the car, my favourite. As well as see how much fuel/ range you have left, lock the car, see where it is, etc.

No doubt you’ve read that.
Map updates are good. Remote locking. Tracking the cars location. Weather. Lots of other features and all very handy.

I find it terrible, rarely works.

Sometimes it’s showing ‘unlocked’ when it’s locked, and other remote options are buggy and don’t always work .

Loads of little bugs, has awful reviews on the App Store.

It’s handy to know fuel, service schedule, and location, but other than that I find it rubbish 😤

I find the app works perfectly.

Only use the car locked/unlocked or ventilate parts on the odd occasion, the rest I just don't use at all. Maybe use the servicing schedule when it gets near to the time. As I drive my car daily I can remember how much fuel is in it, I guess it may be more useful to those that only use the car occasionally.

I have the app installed, but I don't 'use' it as I don't really have any use for it - it is needed though so you can use things like Spotify etc which is why I have it. Seems to work fine :)

Yeah it seems ok, can't do lots with it though. I find though that sending a command can take an absolute age sometimes, not sure if this is just me or if it's a 'feature'.

I think that's common to all of us - the command is sent to the bmw servers, processed, and from there it's sent to the car.

I only use it for sending destinations (although when at home at the laptop, I do it from Google Chrome), the ocasional "find the car" (when left long at shady places or at the dealer), and eventually to open and close doors remotely for someone to go and grab something.

You can also send destinations to your car direct from the PC version of Google Maps, so I never really used the BMW app much.

Never seen that option; how does it work?

Don't have my laptop with me, but if you look for a place, then there's several options and one should be "send to phone" - under that one, there's other options, one of then is to send to the car.

I think if you've never done it, it should give you options to click and configure (by recording the last VIN digits to your Google account).

But anyway if it's not obvious, try googling it and you should find a visual explanation easily.

Enter a destination in google maps and then select send to phone.

The first time your car won't be shown so follow the device not shown link. In the account details in step 5 (not step 2, that is your google account) enter your connected drive details (assuming you have registered for connected drive). It only allows the destination, so if you want a custom route the BMW connected drive app would have to be used.
