What style of silver tip would you prefer? The Milltek and BCS look good but more expensive than £80!

Don't mind the shape, I'm just not a fan of silver. :)

Fair enough, but given that I can't think of any other M power (I know ours isn't but the only other M Performance model is the X5) car with black tips and if they had of come with chrome tips I can't see that everyone would have painted them black!

Where did you get these from?
Sorry Dan I didn't see your question (notifications not set up correctly on the forum settings!). I got them from the dealer I bought the car from. As others have said Cotswold would be as good a place as any!

Yeah just picked up a pair from Cotswold from Phil for a very reasonable £78 or so delivered.

I love the straight-cut look. Function over form for me.

Hi all,

I know they divide opinion but just fitted chrome tips on mine....

A big thanks to Phil at Cotswold BMW for the deal on them.

To be extra careful I have coated them with metal protection spray before fitting.

Yes, total dogshit. The chrome is very thin, won't take our salty winters, designed for the USA climate:

I had a replacement set from BMW as my first ones went funny. The replacement set have held up much better.

Why pay ££££s for these when you can get any size/colour finish from ebay or a local parts shop???

I quite like the chrome tips from the 4 series. My standard tips are horrendous

I've got them... they seem to clean up ok still, after 10,000 miles, but the chrome is degrading! They won't last forever.
