This is something I want to find out, not that I have found out yet!

Recently when I get in the car, the car shown on the black panel display has an orange outline to it.

Is this to tell me it’s hot inside or something?
My guess would be a check control notification or service due?

Either that or lights on!

Thanks, I’ll have to check, but car less than 2 years old and says 9,000 miles until service on the dash.

My 2015 LCI doesn't have this.

Do you have a small driver's side storage compartment? Around that time there was an option called extended storage, and as I recall included the driver side storage compartment, the two useless rear door pockets, a boot net and an additional 12v socket.
Yep, I have the extended storage pack, drivers side storage, nets on the back of the front seats and cargo net in the boot but no additional 12 volt socket under the glove box. ☹️

Does the horn not sound on the 135 to notify you engine is running when you lock?

On mine I have the choice of pissing the neighbours off or leaving it unlocked
66 plate M140i horn sounds, can confirm!
Interesting- I have the same age and model car, but mine doesn't sound the horn when locked with the engine running. Certainly did it enough times last winter so I think I'd have noticed!
An auto/manual difference perhaps ?

Yeah or it will be the brake fluid service.

I wish it didn't! I get up early and have to deal with the garage door, so really don't want to be tooting the horn. Have taken to just be careful and leave it unlocked.

Oh good spot, could be. I have an auto - left it in P with the park brake engaged though.

Yeah or it will be the brake fluid service.
Isnt the first brake fluid service now done after 3 years, and every 2 years thereafter ?

my 2 month old M140 sounds the horn when the engine is on, in P and handbrake on.

It will also sound the horn when the engine is off, in Neutral and handbrake on - coming from a manual i kept putting it in Neutral the first few days of ownership

If your passenger side mirror doesn't tilt downwards when in reverse, check the power mirror control button (left or right). If it is on the passenger side mirror it does not tilt downward.

When using cruise control if you flip the left hand switch on the steering wheel up or down it increments the speed by 1 mph either way. But if you fully press the switch up or down it will increment the speed by 5 mph. Just discovered that yesterday after owning my m135i for just under two years.

If you are in Sports+ and put the Speed Limiter on, it flicks automatically back down into Sport.
