No idea but know of a couple of others offering similar services if that’s what you’re after?

The problem you’ll have is if you go in for warranty work/service bmw will wipe the headunit fsc’s unless you remove beforehand and even then you’ll no longer be able to add it via usb.i’ve reflashed a couple of headunits after everything was wiped by bmw if that happens you’ll loose all fsc related features ie navigation, voice control etc..

So long as you revert it back before a service is all OK then?Johag wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 5:27 pmThe problem you’ll have is if you go in for warranty work/service bmw will wipe the headunit fsc’s unless you remove beforehand and even then you’ll no longer be able to add it via usb.i’ve reflashed a couple of headunits after everything was wiped by bmw if that happens you’ll loose all fsc related features ie navigation, voice control etc..
I took a punt because I wanted CarPlay but it does worry me!
I used DefinedCoding. Self install via eNet. Some sort of BMW feature installer program. I understand it only messes with the FSC code for CarPlay. As it installed it said it stored my nav FSC on the desktop which I assume is how it then reverts to stock, apparently re running the same program will do that, we shall see come service time!
