So if ASD is the only thing I want to code  , bimmercode is the wrong app to do it. Is Carly any better or the recommendation is esys method in this thread.
There are so many good things to code I don't know why you would just want to do ASD alone.

Even just small things like the speed threshold for when you can fold in the mirrors etc are worth the money alone imo.

^^ agreed i know once i have access to a library of things I can code, I am sure I will start tinkering around. However I have barely run-in my m140i at this point and ASD was the only immediate thing I could think of addressing. Its sounding like use esys for ASD and then bimmercode for all the other goodness?

ASD coding works with Bimmercode, providing you don't mess about with the engine type/model range type and/or the audio power class. - When I did that and changed to N55/F22 and none HK sound that's when it messed up for me.

But it's reversible so nothing to worry about.

^^ if I just want to increase the ASD volume and not mess with engine and power class, does that require going into expert mode? I already have HK audio. So looking for the easiest path on this :D

In Bimmercode you just click expert mode, then go into 3000 active sound design, then just change the power class to either sl04 or tl05 in the drop down. Then go back and press code and all done.

It doesn't make much difference in volume though imo.

Any updates on this topic? I had an M Performance Exhaust put onto my M140i SE from the day of collection in the hope it would improve the acoustics, which it has done marginally but no where near as good as my M135i.

All I want to do is change the volume of the ASD to max in the hope of improving the drama inside the cabin when pushing on. Is Bimmercode safe to do this alone & if so how simple is it? What if something goes wrong, how easy is it to rectify?

Alternatively is there anyone in the Essex area or surrounding counties that is proficient in this and could do for me? Happy to pay!

Tried to do this today but when I connected to the car, I could see the connection via VIN (which I assume says it's connected OK) and I can select it but there's nothing to select in the Target so the "Connect" button is greyed out..

The part I'm at is at the screen shot below if it helps but this is when it's not connected (I can see the VIN of my car when it's connected up)

Any ideas?

Do you have a valid 'token' sorted?

Followed the instructions step by step so assume I have a token.. Is there a way i can check?

Edit: Just looked back on what I did and I think I have the token as it asked me to put in a pin which I put in 1234 as I remember that bit

Hi there, I posted the same question in a new thread somewhere else but nobody seem to be able to help. Found this thread, I hope someone may be able to provide some insight!

So I took my F20 2013 M135i to a coder the other day who helped installed a 6WA and folding wing mirrors. Unfortunately he (and his friend) also decided to mess around with my ASD and it stopped working! When I looked into the module with Bimmercode it showed that "motor" was set to S63B44 and "baureihe" was set to F086. I know that those are the wrong models and might have affected the ASD so I switched them back to what I think should be right for my car (F20/21 and N55B30) but the ASD still isn't working!

The coder didn't seem to know how to fix this and when I asked him he said the module had been reset to factory. I find that hard to believe as the engine and car model numbers were wrong. The other settings in the module currently are:

AudioSystem - Stereo
Leistungsklasse - OL
Competition paket - No
Laendervariante - ECE
Baustand - Above 07/2013

I have played around with it by changing Leistungklasse to all the different settings which I believe is volume. Even tried turning on and off competition paket. Only thing I never touched was Laendervariente which I believe is region since the other options are China and USA. Does anybody know what all the default values are? Or anybody with esys nearby who can help reset / recode the entire module back to factory?
