The more I see the new M3 the more I love its styling.

It looks far more aggressive than the F80 and reminds me a lot of the E90, which I also loved.

My thought as well, apart from the car is more than my mortgage and my house value goes up, not falls into a money pit.

Great looking car mind you, and maybe the answer would be yes if I had lots of spare cash.

Agreed 100%
Monthly pricing is another one of lifes cons
It makes things seem cheaper but often it is more expensive
They became very popular with mobile phone plans !

It's nt a binary proposition. I have occasionally chosen to pay monthly because it was looking like less than depreciation. And it proved to be (on our last 4 family cars).

On this occasion it might not be but ruling it out on principle is potentially as much as a mistake as ruling out paying cash on principle.

It’s like renting a house when really you should be putting the money into a mortgage. At the end of the day you don’t own it unless you stump up the GFV.
It’s a lot of money for the average household to pay out each month and with a car like that it’s not really a daily driver.
Absolutely stunning car though.

Sure but I have a feeling is not targeted at the average household.

It’s always a strange topic of conversation to me the whole pcp debate.
If you buy it cash it’s not like you escape the dreaded depreciation is it ?
Using Tony’s own figures you pay a cash price of 78k and after 4 years bmw say it’s worth 31 , and in my experience there never that generous in giving you much more in reality, sure you could sell it private for more , let’s say 35 but you still have lost over 40k of your heard earned money .
It’s just a different way of losing it and that’s the price we all pay to enjoy a certain type of car ,
Personally I’ve done both cash purchases and pcp many times depending on what suits at the time , as long as your aware of what your doing I see benefits to both

Very true. There's no hiding from the biggest single cost of any new car. Depreciation. Who it's aimed at will depend entirely on disposable income. I know a couple of people that spend £600 - £800 a month on wine. £1,000 a month is therefore not seen as a significant outlay for a car. Come to think of it they both drive Range Rovers.

No way would I blow 30% of my income on wine let alone a car 🤪 but there again it would end up in an instant divorce so could be with it 😀

Thing is that "successful youtuber" is getting it moddified on his channel. We all know a PCP car is not yours to do that he should point that out, bit naughty some may not realise .My guess is bearing in mind you just cannot mess with a PCP car its all theatre anyway and its BMWs car may be wrong of course but an out of work youtuber with 160k subscribers and another Mcar as well in the garage mmm
....reminds me of car wows Matt Watson going on about his daily driver his car the Audi RS6 then it comes out that he had to hand it back after 6 months it was Audis........still I enjoy his stuff glad he is around and wish him well he seems to have lost his amateur style which is a shame I think
