New car looks great - a huge improvement over the current car!
If I didn’t have two young kids to transport then I’d be saving very hard to own one of these!
New wheels look horrific though! Poor design & no concave - 437m’s are much better!

Looks same as the LCI except for a different font and the word Competition at startup. No virtual cockpit ala 5 series or Audi. Just LED backlit.
The font appears to the the techno sci-fi font of the M Performance logo and same as the decal you can get on the side.
Re: The New BMW M2 Competition coupe 2018
I would have preferred it if they kept the original front grills and just fitted MP gloss black as standard.
Wheels are no nicer than the originals either, could have been nicer..
Overall though I wouldn't turn one down for free..............

19 months of ownership of the current model and driving today with the remus soundtrack and sunroof open, honestly the soundtrack is sonorous, will the s55 offer the same simple pleasure??? I will definitely wait and see and drive one before ordering.

Tony,
Any indications of GFVs yet? Similar to the M2 LCIs?

Tempted, 5 years in 2 M135s didn’t feel the M2 different enough from behind the wheel.

Re: The New BMW M2 Competition coupe 2018
Any news on the GFV for them and what the figures will look like?
Re: The New BMW M2 Competition coupe 2018
Looks like it's bad news on the GFV / cost front. Despite the increased cost of the car, GFV's are down on the LCI. Just read an example on another thread and putting in 4k , doing 6k pa and over 48mnths the monthly were 615.
I had a deposit down on the M2C which I too have cancelled.
Perhaps Tony could run some example numbers for us?

Re: The New BMW M2 Competition coupe 2018
I've just got a quote on an M2 (Manual, in blue with heated seat) for £1,000 down & £532 monthly. (8,000 pa / 48 months).Maybebmw wrote: ↑Sat Jun 02, 2018 8:06 amLooks like it's bad news on the GFV / cost front. Despite the increased cost of the car, GFV's are down on the LCI. I'm hoping it wont be hugely more than this, but guessing we wont see anywhere near 2.9% APR.

Re: The New BMW M2 Competition coupe 2018
If that’s the current m2 then they are massively discounted to get rid before the comp comes in. Expect another 150 upwards on your monthly payment at least for the comp
If it's got breasts or wheels - it's going to give you trouble

Re: The New BMW M2 Competition coupe 2018
You chaps may be right but if so it will take the M2 Competition into discounted M4 CP territory and I'm not convinced that will be sustainable. Don't get me wrong, I very much like the M2 but personally I think there needs to be a price gap between one of those and an M4 CP for it to make sense; same applied to the current model, when they came out I thought they looked expensive against a discounted M4 whereas at current prices they're much more tempting.dino355 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 05, 2018 12:13 pmAt least is an understatementbarneyrubble wrote: ↑Sat Jun 02, 2018 3:54 pmExpect another 150 upwards on your monthly payment at least for the comp![]()
I do of course accept that some argue the two cars are different - and are targeting different markets - but speaking personally if I was spending mid-50's on a sports coupe I'd certainly consider both; therefore, if the price you pay ends-up being pretty much identical the M2 looks expensive IMHO...

Re: The New BMW M2 Competition coupe 2018
I agree. However the first pcp quote we've seen on here was for 3k down and 615 a month. It may not last much over 6 months but i bet they still sell in that time
