FTP Motorsport pipes

Post by dannyvdberg » Sat Sep 09, 2017 7:50 pm

I am able to buy a boost and chargepipe for the N55 engine. It's of FTP motorsport, but it's for the M135i. Will this also fit the M2 engine?

I guess the next upgrade will be an intercooler and then it's time for some exterior parts!

Danny

Before installing I would switch out supplies jubilee clips for T clamps as jubilee clips are fine for rad hoses but for boost pipes they need to be tight and can pinch/pierce rubber coupler hose.

Also if aiming at FMIC upgrade - boost pipes install is a lot easier with FMIC removed during FMIC swap.

Thanks for the info mate! I will definitely replace them with the right ones.

This year I won't replace the IC, probably next year..

I have installed the pipes today, and the fitted like you guys said! No problem between those for the mx35i and the M2. I'm happy with the results. I couldn't push the car to the limit today, so didn't notice any differences yet...

Apologies for the thread bump but I'm looking at these from FTP for my M135 and wondered if anyone has any feedback on quality vs forge?

Quality is ok. I have used them om my m135i and m2, and it really gives you a better feeling knowing that i won't take off with full throttle.
