M2 Font PDC

Post by robsta555 » Mon Feb 19, 2018 1:20 pm

Hi all

It sounds like you cannot retrofit the usual 2 series OEM front PDC system (or BMW would have given us the option right). Has anyone looked at any after market solutions for this? If so could you point me in the right direction please?

Cheers
Rob

Presumably it’s not offered by BMW due to the shape of the bumper not giving any near vertical surface to mount a sensor. Would imagine that would apply to aftermarket solutions?

Agreed, but maybe there is an 80/20 solution or someone has thought outside the box.

At the moment I have gone for the hanging tennis ball when driving into the garage. Yes, I know I could reverse instead.

It's the one thing I really miss in my M2. I'm always concerned about my bumper and the lack of a front PDC puts to rest my thoughts of a front splitter.
Black M2 - DCT - black grills - MPE - and a slight wince when I get home late or start early.

Believe it’s down to the shape of the bumper
