Hi all has anyone purchased a cover for their m2 and can recommend a company. Looking for a outdoor waterproof cover thanks

Yes I have one from Every Car Covered its a weatherPRO which is for all seasons and works a treat!

As this is weather proof I'd assume its being used outside. Does it not rub/scuff the paint taking it off and putting it on or in the wind?

Yes I'd just be careful of this. Had one on my Cayman. Unless it's designed for the specific model AND fits really snug I wouldn't bother. I had some slight paint rub which mared it slightly in places, it polished out fine but still was a pain. Never used one after that. That was a Porsche cover too :roll:

I haven't noticed any scratches since using it and it has an anti scratch inner lining its also tailor made to the car and straps to the under side.

The biggest issue with a cover designed for the car or not is what gets trapped between the car paint and said cover. Dust, dirty, etc only has to move around on the paint surface for it to cause imperfections, scratches and swirls.

Personally I wouldn’t bother unless the car has been properly cleaned down before hand and it is kept indoors - ideal for a car about to go into storage for example.
