Dyno results

Post by gsijay » Mon Feb 11, 2019 9:37 pm

Hi peeps
Had a Ecu flash remap done moths ago after it was done it never really felt night and day like previous cars I have remapped....wondered wot the m2 was making so decided to dyno it at a dyno in Stevenage....so stock the m2's run 365 bhp and 345ft lbs of torque done 3 runs and I was disappointed 1st run
400 bhp
323ft lbs of torque
2nd run
386bhp
321ft lbs
Why is this so low on torque????
No fault codes nothing......any suggestions???

I'd say a response like that is not going to get you many replies...…..

Did you dyno the car before you had it modified ? Perhaps you should go back to whoever modified it and get it checked......as it's kind of obvious that they haven't exactly given you what you thought you were going to get...…

Who remapped the ECU?

What did they claim the increase/figures would be?

If it isn't making their claims, take it back!

Independent before/after dyno, @ wheels figures but corrected for atmos/temp for comparison.

Ideally a dyno dynamics roller.

Choose a good tuner. Who did it originally?

Don’t remap your car until you’re 100% you trust the people doing it.

They should offer all manner of support/reassurance. If they haven’t, why not?

Did you just let any old idiot at your £££ car with a laptop?

Did you tell the car it was on a dyno with the hidden menu? Otherwise car will hold back power as front wheels not spinning.
