BMW 118D Remap

Post by PatrickGuest »

Hello,

I recently purchased a BMW 118D, 2015 pre facelift. I was hoping you give me an idea of the gains to be had via a remap and also a price?

Thanks!
Patrick

Might be a stupid question, but I dont know much about remapping etc.

Would a remap make any noticable changes to the emissions? I would hate to have it mapped and a year later fail the MOT. Anyone had issues?

Remapping a Diesel is not the same as a Petrol when it comes to emissions testing on an MOT.

Diesels are only subjected to a Smoke test (measured particulate from the exhaust e.g. soot). As long as the DPF on your exhaust system is still intact and operating fine, then a remap will not fail your MOT.

Due to an interesting afternoon during those heavy rainstorms a few months back, I now have a 2017 120D, which feels sluggish compared to the 118D you remapped previously!

Any idea what a map on the 120D would give?

Thanks

We remap for all modes
There no point in having it for sports mode only
