Pro Nav only I'm afraid, sorry.
Ive just found the post where you said the following

Pro nav - iDrive 5 only.

I can supply an addon box that allows car play for around £380 but it is not a BMW retrofit, it is a third party module.

Could you give me a bit more info please? As in, is it a box that sits in my glove box etc?
I've done some testing with those boxes but in reality they are not that good and I wouldn't want to sell them as I would not be happy with one as a customer
Thank you.

That’s a real shame. Wish I’d paid for the pro nav now. Is that expensive/possible to upgrade to?

It's not cheap I'm afraid - £1600 is what I charge for a complete upgrade.

Indeed. It's always cheaper to tick the option boxes when ordering.

Potentially swapping my M135i for a new(ish) M140i, I've not been to see it yet but the garage spec sheet says it's got the ZNP Media package which I understand is the Pro Nav? Is that the setup that can have the Car Play retrofitted for £250?

Hi , we have a 2017 BMW X1 M Sport, we have the touch screen head unit with the tiles, which I believe is Idrive 5 , has BMW connectedDrive etc.. the BMW site says Apple carplay preparation is unavailable.

We are looking to get carplay.

Couple of questions, from what I have read do.we need a WiFi antenna, and then the FSC codes to activate or is there more involved.

As we are Surrey and not sure if anyone does this locally is it difficult to fit a WiFi antenna ,if I have to do that myself , and how easy is it to input the FSC codes to activate etc.

Thanks and excuse the questions just started to learn about this stuff !

Don’t go anywhere near this if you need to retrofit the Wi-fi aerial.

I’ve tried to instal myself and the trim is impossible to remove unless you’re a pro. I even have the right tools and I’ve had to give up, £120 down the drain.

Before posting on my thread, please contact me in the first instance so I can offer assistance. Send me your details so I can check your order number.

Please post a photo of your dashboard or VIN number and I can tell you how to remove the trim.

If you have a newer LCI 2 car then the trim around the vents needs to be removed with a couple of plastic trim tools and some persistence. You won't break the trim if you lever it in the right places and are careful, once removed it is dead easy to install the antenna.

If you are still having issues PM or email me your location and I will endeavor to assist you.
