4wd is a most for me, thats the reason why i jumped back to BMW this time. i remember when i had a m5 f10 and s3's were taking me off the lights because it would spin in 1st and 2nd, sometimes even 3rd! People say rear wheel is fun, i dont find it fun especially when a golf is able to destroy you from the lights lol.
0-40 mph acceleration in a straight line on a rain-soaked bypass somewhere - at every light, there's always an S3/RS3/R/A45 ready to destroy you and you feel compelled every time to demonstrate your dominance? - is obviously key to your well-being and state of mind so this new 4WD thing is just right for you ;). Good thing you didn't have a Ferrari 488 or some other RWD rubbish!

BMW F10 manages 3.5 sec to 60 mph, 11.7 sec to 200 km/h - none of those boxes has a hope - and luxury and quality a thug hatch can only dream of (or perhaps ram-raid and nick from another car...). I scratch my head at why you bought one!
I've said on here elsewhere today that I drove an M340i X-Drive yesterday and that I reckon that'd see off ANY 2wd BMW to 60mph in anything less that 100% perfect conditions.

Makes sense. Stock it gets to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds, which is all that matters

BMW's next hatch should have no steering at all and a JATO on the roof. The YouTube generation will be beside itself!

You can scratch your head all you want, i bought one because i wanted one lol.
But you knew it was RWD, and knew you'd get left for dead by all the RS3s and A45s around you, which are always driven at full throttle off every stoplight (which you're always on the front row for)?

Yep I knew it was rwd. That's why I said I won't buy another rear wheel drive performance car again. There is a reason why the new m5 is x drive so you can actually put the power down.

Anyway there is nothing you can tell me, it's my preference some people love rwd I don't. There is no debate here I made my choice a long time ago.

And I think we should keep this thread on topic rather than a debate about 4wd vs 2wd oh and traffic lights lol.

This car looks superb if you don't mind sacrificing practicality over the sedan.

It’s still a slightly odd pose though. Still think these look a bit awkward, more from the side / rear.

I'm not telling - I was questioning spending £80,000 on something you're not sure about... But then I'm not a player ;).

Reviews are out. Apparently it’s has suspension that is a bit softer than the M135. Because of the different body shape, the structural ridgidity is different.

For prospective buyers, it will be worth driving both cars before committing.

Yeah, I saw some of them last night. A lot of positive reviews. Autogefühl mentioned it drives really well with the adaptive suspension, shame you can't get it with the 19's.

Auto express really slated said the sound was not good at it, the exact words were "sounds like a sewing machine" lol. We shall see when it arrives lol.
