Hi boys ....and girls .....

Please help me as I'm not sure if I'm being taken advantage of ...

Summary>

Drive a BMW 114i 1 series - 2014 - petrol

. Got a drive train error come up 4 weeks ago could not drive car
.errors were
1) misfire cylinder 3 (140310)
2) misfire cylinder 3 injection shut down

Went to a garage and had all 4 coil packs changed (£230)

.drove away car was fine

.next morning on motor way accelerated hard to go from 60-70 and the car juddered until I eased off the accelerator, this happens all the time now when I accelerate hard but if I ease my speed up there is no judder at all
.went to start car this morning and it struggled
.went to leave work this evening and pulled away with not enough acceleration and car went dead and drive train mode came back up
.turned car off and pressed button again and reved it to 3000 and car was ok and message went off dash and car didn't stall again , even start / stop at lights was ok

.took to a garage and it threw out code
.11A002 - fuel high pressure, plausibility pressure too low
.took to garage and got a call back saying HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP IS gone £550

I have no clue if this is right or not .... please help me .....

I can't afford for bmw to look at it !!! Iv took it to 2 different garages both have said HPFP .... did u take yours bmw
No, I used to work with them a few years back, but I'm not paying them £135 p/h+vat to tell me what I already know, I've posted a video of the issue I'm having, I have put a brand new HPFP on my car and it hasn't made any difference, spoke to a bmw tuning company, told him my symptoms and he thinks it could be the DME(engine Ecu) which I was thinking before I had spoken to him.
Does your car do this?

Yes it does, but when I'm driving I can't accelerate hard in high gears or the whole car will just judder and then lose power and drive train comes up! The biggest problem is it not starting in between short journeys so if I go to work for 8 hours the car will start up fine, if I go to work for 2 hours it won't start at all it will turn over but just keep dropping out and coming up drive train then all of a sudden it will just start - rough but as though nothing has happened

Yeh so HPFP changed ..... car starts a bit better definitely less lumpy, still judders when I accelerate heavy so no change there .... it's a bit quieter than it was and is driving a bit more smooth ... the gear box and steering wheel ain't shaking to s**t! Iv just pulled up now so il try to start it again in 2 hours and let's see if it starts but I'm guessing it won't Cos the guys couldn't even get it started after they fitted it, he took all the pipes that attach to the low pressure fuel pump out to make sure there was fuel running through or something like that put it back together and then it started .... so basically NO I DONT THINK THERE WAS ANYTHING WRONG WITH MY HPFP after all..... what now??? What's your next move????

Also had a new relay today so it's not that either .... it idling a lot WORST than before now feels like it's going to cut out but doesn't actually where as before it would of cut out
Have they put a fuel pressure tester just before the hpfp to check that you're getting between 5-6 bar of constant pressure from the low pressure fuel pump?
My next move is to speak to an ECU repair specialist regarding the signal to the hpfp relief valve, it sounds like it's operating it too quickly not allowing the pressure to build up in the fuel rail, that's my expert opinion.
I'll keep you posted.

So can you believe today .... I brought myself a new coil and just changed them one by at a time then went for a drive down the A3 and guess what took coil 2 out and put new one in car drives like a dream no misfire!!! 2 garages it's been too!!!! But it was never throwing up a coil on the diognostics so I don't get it to be honest but that's one problem sorted!! But it's still not starting unless there is 4 hours in between each journey !!!!! That's gotta be a fuel issue surely ????? Maybe the LPFP?

Yep only fault code is 11A002 fuel high pressure, plausibility pressure too low - which is what the original fault code was when they suggested HPFP. The engine management light has only just come on today, it's been going on since September but I never had a engine management light.

If you've had the hpfp replaced and the low pressure fuel pump relay replaced, it sounds like it possibly the lpfp, have they put a fuel pressure gauge just before the hpfp to determine what the lpfp is supplying pressure wise?
I spoke to bmw parts and BMW sell 15 lpfp in the dealer network per month and only 4 hpfp in the network per month.

I'm not sure I assume they did tests on it when they had it days but having said that they came back and told me I needed a high pressure fuel pump so who knows at the moment I'm just giving money away left right and centre! Where is the low pressure fuel pump relay?
