Re: How to adjust track rod ends?

I could do, but I’m OK with the feel as it was, so no biggie, although more feel would have been nice....people have upgraded from LCA only to TS + LCA without any reports of a downgrade. I’m just surprised it wasn’t made more clear, that’s all. I did go from LCA only to LCA+TS but with wider/more ...

Re: Tyres - What size?

Ok, I currently have the 245's on and there doesn't seem to be any chance of the car catching the arch..will it make that much of a difference? They're only a 18" wheel. The car is lowered 25mm as well. Suppose I'll just have to risk it and then get the camber done asap. Any photos ? If your 18” 24...

Re: Tyres - What size?

1. Front 235x40 Rear, 255x35. For me, the best combo but at the rear, there is a risk of rubbing. 9J ET40 is a bit too pokey, ET42+ would be better. 2. Square set up with 245x35 but could be a bit to stretchy at the rear with a 9J rim. 3rd option Front - 245/35/18 XL Rear - as above 255/35/18 XL - ...

Re: i-step upgraded

Update

Whilst I like new comfort mode (feels like MDM before update) but loving new MDM - feels more akin to sport + wo the annoying extra ASD.

F22/F87 pre LCI rear light clusters.

Folks,

What's ballpark price to sell used, useable, unmarked F22/F87 rear light clusters for ?

I've retrofitted LCI rear clusters to my pre-LCI M2 so the original ones [free of dreaded condensation issues] are surplus to requirements.

TIA,

Rob,

Do a search for Lemforder in my u/name and you should see links I've posted previously for LCA and TS.

Re: How to adjust track rod ends?

Started mine today, only got one side done. Rain and a washer stopped play. I didn’t realise you needed to fit an additional spacer on the LCA too, so that was quite a surprise. Luckily some searching through my box of old nuts and bolts I found a suitable washer to take up the slack. The TS went o...

What are the recommended toe settings for the M140i?

Given that it's rear wheel drive, should the front wheels be set with some toe in?
Correct

I’d suggest toe-in F&R as follows

F 0 to 0.05
R 0.05 to 0.1

One thing I never think in my OG M2 (UK road use only) is - I wish I had more power.
Stage 1 remap will get your OGM2 north of std M2C power/torque levels

Re: Sam’s new 140se

Is that something that is easy enough to do? Yes - jury rig solution to enable you to drive the car to get alignment done as follows:- 1. do each side at time; 2. jack the front up just enough so as wheel is just off the ground & secure; 3. using a circa 2 foot long straight edge [or laser light/ta...
