Re: Litchfield remap or JB4 on new M140i?

Talk to Litchfields as they have started using EcuTek based remap. EcuTek are a UK based tuners with a comparable product to BM3 by PTF out of the USA.

Re: KC Design Braces

Have to say that rear lower brace doesn’t sit right with me. If you’re looking to steady the ship I think you’d be best off taking some of the slop out of the bushes back there. A better approach surely is rear subframe bush inserts, reducing rear subframe movement. Very well regarded mod on the E8...

Re: KC Design Braces

Rear brace in the boot - bolted to luggage loops ?- if it’s not bolted thru to something substantial and or the lower retrofitted brace - it’s a chocolate teapot upgrade Agreed. I'm wondering if it goes through and has anything to do with the other brace on the under side. It doesn't affect shippin...

Re: any one using the VRSF sport cat down pipe?

The issue is that the backbox and the entire mid box movement will be transferred to the flex joint. Because the VRSF flex joint is super stiff, that means all the movement will thus be transferred to the catted area of the downpipe. Because the downpipe has no other bracket to support it, it also ...

Re: any one using the VRSF sport cat down pipe?

I got an absolutely crap response from VRSF..... .....As to my own car? Agreed, crap response to a valid concern. Seems ‘affordable’ comes before ‘engineering’. I’d certainly cross this brand off the list. Nisfan - based on Jah’s experiences with VRSF - agree with you 100% Jah - my read of this is ...

Re: DIY F80 LCA and TS.

I am based in the UK and my car is a RHD. I ask that why there is such a big difference, they said that cannot be adjusted, is that right? John, Hunter operator is a tad clueless - why use Xdrive/LHD data when the car is RWD/RHD ? Did you sit in the car or did they weight the car whilst doing the a...

Re: DIY F80 LCA and TS.

Finally, after a sleepless night, I took my car in for a Hunter alignment, the car was on the ramp for 20 minutes and it was completed. Shame the other garage I use normally didn't have the right equipment and spent 2 days trying to get it right but left the front toes were pointing inward. I am so...

Re: pdc and Offset M140 square set up

Yeah, the wheel clears, it's the tyre I'm concerned about (with a little deflection). ET42/43 + 245mm clears, but is close. Not 100% sure about ET45. RWAlker on 2addicts ran F&R 255/35/18 on oem 441 [18" et 47mm with 5mm spacers all round ie et42mm] on his AW M235i see extract below from his post o...

Re: DIY F80 LCA and TS.

I just thought I would report back. I had the LCAs fitted without the TS. The fitting wasn't a problem for my mechanics. When they did the tracking, because the LCAs are non-standard item for the F20s they were unable to do the alignment properly. They don't have the Hunter alignment machine and I ...

Re: pdc and Offset M140 square set up

I am on M4 LCAs without TS, can I go 8x18 with et45 with 245 35 18? You should be fine wo spacers as ACS spec 8.5” et43mm for square set up for their 18” & 19” F2x alloys. With 245's on? Can you recall Seb's BBS setup BP? They might have been 8" ET45 + 245mm?? ACS de website quotes the following:- ...

Scott,

Nice - better fluid will help with pedal feel consistency both in terms of pedal feel & travel plus when brakes get beasted.

Re: G2x front camber correction hubs - will these fit an F2x/F3x RWD/AWD

As far as I am aware the M135i uses -30 correction hubs PN ending 651 and 652 Correct all Mx35i have them fitted as standard. The M140i uses the standard one, PN ending 285/286 So for M140i camber correction hubs are available although if its stamped on the hub would be good to confirm as the liter...

Re: G2x front camber correction hubs - will these fit an F2x/F3x RWD/AWD

Yes, although I think there are more aggressive correction hubs? No? I could be very wrong? Lol 👍👍 Not that I’m aware based on parts numbers in Realoem. BMW offer 3 options for hub carriers -0.5 correction - std fit on mlites Zero correction - std fit on all other F2x +0.5 correction G2x hubs appea...
