Re: OGM2 brake ducts in the undertray solution

Update - pricing ex works

undertray only - $735 CF version or $441 FRP version.

Shipping from China is the killer though - doubles the price of FRP version !!!

F8x rear diff hanger upgrade

Found this as a solution to better locate m-diff - 4 mounts at the front and just one at the rear. It adds a second mount to diff to suit the pre-existing empty mount on the rear subframe. 683BBBDB-13C7-4872-8746-102C7F7718D1.jpeg https://www.kmpdrivetrain.com/product/bmw-f-series-m2-m3-m4-bracket-s...

OGM2 brake ducts in the undertray solution

IMHO lack of oem brake ducts on OGM2 is an oversight by BMW. Interesting option from Chinese company BP-Engineering - BP-E. They make some other carbon bits, titanium charge pipes, turbo kit and some suspension bits and bobs. Link below shows an undertray/brake backing shields and flexi ducting for ...

In fact to get the carbon brace to fit on the non-M2C, you have to remove the 2 corner strut braces anyway ;)
M3/4 CFRP U brace can be installed with m2 corner braces left in situ.

Re: H&R or Eibach Springs

Depends on stance/visuals you are aiming at.

Eibachs have more rake (nose down) than H&R, the stance will be more level.

Re: LSD vs X-Drive

FWIW 2 examples based on my own 1st hand experience in my pre-LCI m135i AT with:- - Quaife LSD, - 225/40/18 Conti WC 830p all round, - DSC fully off and - extra ballast [2 bags of ballast or compost] as far forward in the boot as possible. 1. Re: mapping advise - Anyone near Southampton?

DMS will be about £600. For Half that though I’d go Emaps. Had Simon travel to me and were £300 - remapped my 535d and no complaints. Emaps remote remap will be a generic remap whereas DMS will be more bespoke specific to yr car. Pays yr money and makes yr choice & DMS being twice the price of emap...

Re: M135i , heavy steering DIY fix

Quite worried that my 32,000mile Mi135i is suffering from heavy steering and it will not self centre at times. In the meantime I had a look at the steering joint this morning. The upper joint is perfect but the lower joint was rusty and corroded. I sprayed the corroded steering joint with a light p...

Re: Powerflex rear subframe inserts

Why BMW don't fit decent subframe bushes in the first place is beyond me, instead they see fit to use exactly the same hollow bushes as a 218d! building to a budget - one size fits all approach. Special bushes/inserts for gruntier, sportier variants simply adds cost/reduce margin on sporty but high...

Re: G30 Caliper fitment

Would it be possible to fit a pair of these bad boys to the front hub carrier? Discs are 348x36mm Or is my best bet to get some M sport calipers for an F20/30? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190118/b91e8f88778d856991a9d73273320b4f.jpg It could be a lot of work [and possibly more weight] for not...

Re: Match up 7BMW amp?

I've installed one in my m140i, and it sounds like crap. The problem is that there are no sound setups ready for the f20, I’ve tested the ones available on audiotecs site but they are obviously not for the f20. The sound now is horrible. Absolutely horrible. Yes I think the hi-fi on F3x is mo...
