Re: Buying a remapped 1er (m47)

I cant say much on more-bhp, but I had my 120d mapped by p-torque to 204bhp about 18months ago on 97k miles. Car is now on 117k miles and also original clutch and everything feels as it should do.

Re: Lost locking wheel nut 'key' .... Any recommendations ?

I like when I go for a new tyre, the tyre man knows the locking nut is in the compartment next to the battery without informing him

Re: Oil leak...Help

I used the sump repair kit to repair mine with no problems. Just ensure you wind in twice and wind out once to keep a nice thread and prevent all the shards entering the sump.

Re: group buy?

+1 on p-torque. Quite often does a GB for babybmw. I had mine done on a GB around 2 years ago and have never looked back

Re: Fuse box - unused fuse positions live?

Well technically you dont want a permanent live, you need a switched live. Did mine last week, just tapped into the cig lighter fuse with 'add a fuse' connection, was really easy. Was fuse 30

Re: Alternator belt came off....

I reckon the bearings inside the pulley have seized or shattered causing the pulley to lock solid with the rpm speed they run at it basically it's snapped the bolt in the pulley. This is exactly what he said had happened. He managed to get the alternator off and then grip the pulley bolt and cracke...

Alternator belt came off....

Started the car up Sat morning and heard a bang which I thought sounded like it came from the rear. Anyway drove to work, after 2 mins red battery light came on - ccid 213. Quick search on the net showed battery not fully charged, so I went out to have a look to find the alternator belt all loose. W...

Re: Bit of a prang. Write off or repair?

I've had two very different experiences with insurance companies after my car was written by a third party. First company, pretty much asked me how much I wanted for write-off value and then said we can drop the car back off to you for £300 minus the write-off value. New wing and door = fixed. Secon...

Re: Anyone have a dash cam in their E8*?

I was in two minds whether to fit a dash cam over the last year until the other day when two push bikes failed to give way at a junction and I missed them by about 2 inches. If I had of hit then, would have been my fault ofcourse... The cam I have bought is a 5v, so comes with a cig charger voltage ...

Re: Undercover x5 had me a good one

There's no way you'll be going to court for dangerous driving, you have to do something serious for that, I suspect the officers were just using that to give you something to think about. If they reported you for summons at the side of the road then you won't be getting interviewed about it, the ro...
