Re: Rust on the inside of my tailgate...

Picked my car up today... Repair seems to have been done well; can’t see any overspray etc. The corrosion was apparently under the rear screen too. They put some much wider tape on the door sills, so that’ll hopefully do the trick. I certainly appreciate my car after four days in a MINI, which I ult...

Re: M4 Comp seats in M2

BMW M performance seats were Recaro CS in disguise and often heated. R56 Mini Cooper JCW did same seats as aftermarket, again essentially the same. I had them in my MCS and should have kept them when I sold it. Also look at Lotus, Evora I think, they also had CS seats. Retrofitting any of these wou...

Re: Annoying Whistle with Roof bars

Ok good luck with that please let me know if you end up using it and if it does the trick They’ve not replaced the seals but have applied tape in the video they sent me yesterday....no mention of removing the tape that was applied already..... I also have amazing tyres that regenerate! The me...

Re: Annoying Whistle with Roof bars

@SAM140 I'm lucky so don't have creaks but I have read that this stuff is good for it https://www.amazon.co.uk/SONAX-03400000-Rubber-Care/dp/B002MZZNU8 Cheers bud. I’m hoping they replace the seals this time around. It used to only be audible around town, but when I took it in for the tailgate on T...

They’ve already made that look awful by shoving an extra set of doors in to crest the GC.
agreed and I can't say that the grill is an improvement either
Wonder if it’ll get a Baby 4 series look? That’d be a real shame if they do.

Now I read that my B58 is like a mini 1.5 D and is inferior to an N55.

Oh well!
Technically it is. The B series engines are modular with 500cc per cylinder. A crude way to look at it is the B38 in the F56 Cooper / 118 is the B58 cut in half.

Good result in the end.

I agree about sharing the reg and the name of the garage. They sound like absolute cowboys.

Are you going to look for another M140i?

Re: 128ti - November release...

Sounds like a good move. There was a hell of a performance hole between the 118 and 135. I think there are enough differences (eg no x drive) to possibly make it a popular choice, after all VW still shifted a bunch of Golf GTI’s despite the R being in existence. The early prototype reviews sound pro...

Will be running around in this beast for a few days whilst the corrosion issue is sorted 🤦‍♂️ https://i.ibb.co/DbdFVWv/DFF75-A76-1-FE2-4594-88-DA-9-B8-FA58-E7-BE6.jpg I’ve had to share as it’s really annoying me already. Why couldn’t they design it so the speedo sits in the middle of the bloody ste...

Re: M140 as a fun car

What is it with the GT86? I don't understand the point of them, are they basically MX5 coupes? Are they even RWD? Hi Dizee - I think the GT86 was supposed to be a modern day take on the Toyota Corolla RWD circa 1986! It was and still is an incredibly popular budget route into motorsport or drifting...

I checked my tailgate when washing on Sunday and I have a slight staining where Sam's is; not sure if it's due to a water duct and it was a reddish colour but the paint looked quite thick.
Paint in / around that area on mine was thick too (thicker than the exterior paint).

Re: My 2019 Mineral Grey M Sport Shadow Edition

That looks lovely on mineral grey. Sounds like the 5 was a bit of a pain. Thanks, really liking how it looks with the Maxton kit on it. I really wanted Melbourne Red or Sunset Orange, but despite the dealer saying they had all colours available, they had all colours except these two, so settled on ...
