Suspension question

Post by ttassie15 » Thu May 10, 2018 8:49 pm

Think my suspension is long overdue some attention. Seen a B12 pro kit at a decent price, just worried about how much it’ll drop as I need the car to be functional still! I’ve seen pictures of the kit on the car and it looks awesome. Anyone got any experience of the B12 and how it drives, bumps etc.

I had the B12 pro kit on my 330d didn’t like it, too firm for uk roads. I had Birds b3 suspension kit fitted, so much better, handles tones better with more comfort. Birds autos.com

Aside from being firm, was the height okay? The birds package is a bit pricey for me

b12 pro kit didn't drop my 130i very much at all a bit at the front thats it. Remember the stated drop is over standard not mtec suspension.

Mines m sport anyway, and probably on original saggy shocks and springs, so it’ll probably only be like a 10-15mm drop?

Sounds like a winner! Did you install it yourself? Anything else needed that wasn’t in the kit?

I put eibach pro springs and b4 dampers on my 130 to replace worn out stock m sport suspension and the back was noticeably higher, front about the same. The rear shocks were buggered though, no gas at all
I'll find a photo later if that would help man

Eibach pro springs drops front 5-10mm max I found on my msport 130 cars and generally lifts the rear about the same due to higher spring rate and it not being much different length wise to stock msport.

Any pictures would be appreciated!
I went for the b12 kit so think that’s the b8 dampers?

Ps, anyone that’s looking for a b12 kit, got mine delivered from AUTODOC.co.uk for £494. Couldn’t find it cheaper anywhere else! I’ve ordered new top mounts and bushes etc too, so I can pre assemble them without reusing old parts
