Oh No !!! Thought it was a fit and forget job :shock:

Obviously the old loo roll one is foam, but is the vortex one purely plastic? Can't quite visualise how it 'filters' without the foam!

I completely washed mine out the other day so just checking no damage can be done to the bits you can't see inside by washing it?

It's a cyclonic separator, so works in broadly the same way as a Dyson vacuum - except that the oil droplets are drained back to the cam chest continuously rather than collected for later chucking in the bin...
