Very nice.

Its unlikely the guy will have paid £6k, that figure is a marketing tactic used by some of the top detailers, say a detailers hourly rate is £50/hr and he does 50 hours work, they then advertise that as a £2,500 detail. In reality the agreed price paid by the customer is a lot less.

It surprises me that someone who obviously doesn't look after his car would spend all that cash to detail it...

Won't it only be a matter of time before he uses his wire brush to wash his car again?

Those swirls are likely caused by one of them car washes you get at the garage with the massive rotating brushes... Makes me shiver to think about one of those being used on a 1M.

Maybe it wouldn't cost so much if the detailer didn't spend hours taking before/after photos!! I understand it's a marketing tool, but it really annoys me!!

My detailer did it too, I almost said it would have taken you less time if you didn't take all these bloody photos before, during and after!

"And shall I book you in for the same treatment next year Sir?"

Nice, but bonkers - just keep it reasonably clean and drive it.

Sorry, doesn't look any better than details I've seen at a fraction of the cost

If it was 6k the owner must be claiming it off a car wash owner/company. No one in the right mind would pay that no matter how rich they were.

Couldn't you get a new paint job for less money & less time than that?

FWIW - I'm with JonD on this one, I don't for a second think that the owner actually paid £6k to get that level of work done. The correction work needed was not the worst needed I've seen, the cost is in the products being used, and the skill needed to apply it.

I have no doubt that if you parked this car up next to an identical 1M - corrected and protected in CQuartz by some of the other top detailers in the UK, I'm sure you would see very little difference at all. Cost wise it would have been considerably less.

If I ever spent this amount of money getting a car corrected, (and i wouldn't!!) it would be going in a glass box afterwards - and that kind of defeats the object of owning such an awesome car...
