my question is i havent touched the seatbelt warning , and i cant remember if the standard setting beeped upon start up ,until you buckled up?

as mine now doesnt, only has a light on the dash which goes out when buckled, i just get 1 chim when un buckling if driving

cheers for replys
Doesn’t it beep after a minute of the engine started and belt not clipped in?

Set it to 0 seconds and it’ll close on lock.

My only warning with this is unlikely to happen but it has happened.

If you lock your car and it freezes overnight, when you unlock, if it’s frozen solid you can break the wing mirror motor or the whole mechanism can break.

Unlikely but just thought I’d point it out.

I re code mine to long push of fob during winter months (when I change to my winters) just in case.

It’s based upon distance before it chimes. 200m iirc.

Anyone know how to code the black label display to stay on daytime colours (white) permanently?

Successfully coded some basics this afternoon on my m140 via bimmercode and vgate 2

seat belt beeps off
stop start off default
door led on in reverse
rear drl enabled
alarm beep
drl lights on off via idrive
Red sports displays
m performance idrive boot screen

Now for some bank holiday reading on what else can be done .

Hi all,

I'm new here but have through pretty much all 47 pages in this thread.

In some of the early posts there was a comment made that the Bimmercode app can break the satnav in cars with Idrive4. Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

I have a 2016 M2 that i want to turn off active sound in and have the radio turn off when i open the car door.

Thanks

Managed to code:

Bluetooth streaming (no more wires!)
Radio off on door opening
Window interrupt off on door opening
LED door lights on on reverse
Start/Stop off by default

Massive thanks to the advice on this thread :D

Has anyone coded the parking sensors so that the front ones are on all the time? I can’t believe that they don’t come on till I either put the car in reverse or press a button

Not possible - Auto PDC is a function on new G series cars and the active tourer models IIRC.

Bloody ridiculous! My old Seat Leon did it! I keep waiting for the sensors to come on when I’m close to something
