E87 LCI

Post by tsmr » Wed Jul 19, 2017 9:52 am

Hi Wibbles,

My mum has an E87 LCI with Professional HU and Logic7 speakers.

We'd like to have Bluetooth and iPod/USB input functionality - If I buy a replacement HU with Bluetooth & USB, will this work with our speakers after you work your coding magic? I read somewhere that certain HU's don't support MOST cables as used in L7 but could be wrong.

If this isn't possible, what other solutions could we use?

It should work but the head unit will need coding with a special interface so you would need to travel to me in Tyneside

Okay thank you. There's one on the forum for sale, would that do the trick?

Also, does this give me a USB port alongside where the AUX would be or is merely a port at the back of the head unit?

Finally approx. How much will it be for the interface coding?

Cheers for such a quick reply!

You'll need the USB port and the connector cable to the head unit - I can supply those or you can buy them from eBay or a main dealer - it replaces the AUX port under the arm rest.

Coding is £50
